ING Real Estate in Australia is active in development, investment management
and finance.
In
Development, ING has been playing a prominent role as a developer,
property services provider and project manager in the Australian property
industry since the launch of the business in 2001. From ING's perspective,
projects have the potential to evolve to become part of the country's
cultural heritage, examples of bold design, or simply sound investments.
This creation of value is at the core of ING's role.
Within the
Investment Management unit, ING Real Estate manages over AUD12.5 billion
of quality real estate assets on behalf of 61,000 investors. The company has
five property trusts listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, two unlisted
vehicles and a wholesale unlisted property fund. Key responsibilities of the
business include funds management, asset management and property management
activities, together with sales, acquisitions and leasing, fund accounting,
marketing and communications, investor relations and property market
research.
Meanwhile, ING has been active in
Finance since 2005, and has quickly become a well-known property lender,
providing a range of financial products tailored to the requirements of
institutional property investors and developers in Australia and abroad. The
company is active in both project and investment finance throughout
Australia across the following sectors: office, retail, industrial,
residential and hotels.
The corporate and investment banking arm of the company operates out of
Sydney and provides clients with a range of products including general and
syndicated lending, structured finance and a growing capability in leverage
finance following the appointment of senior executives to be based locally.
The OptiMix multi-manager investment solution has been in operation for over
10 years and offers investors access to the country's leading fund houses
with investments spanning all active asset classes.
