Frank Koster was appointed CEO of Insurance Asia/Pacific on 1 November 2009. He joined from the role of Head of Group Corporate Communications and Affairs since 2005 where he played a key role in helping in ING Group's Executive Board manage the company both in a period of rapid growth and subsequently through the financial crisis.

Frank joined ING in 1996 as a management trainee and was working on various short-term assignments in ING Investment Management, Bank and FSI organization (Insurance Asia/Pacific). He moved to The Hague and joined Nationale-Nederlanden as a Team Leader underwriting for retail P&C insurance. Frank then joined ING Group as the Corporate Strategies in 1999 and moved to ING Life Korea and took up the role of Vice President in Marketing and Business Development. Frank was appointed to be the Managing Director and CEO of ING Vysya Life India in 2003.

Frank has a master degree in medicine from the University of Amsterdam.
